Forward Festival App – Privacy Policy

Thank you for using the Forward Festival mobile application (the “App” ), provided by Forward Events, LLC ( “we,” “us,” “our” ) and powered by SCHED LLC (“SCHED”). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information you provide when you use the App. It is designed to comply with the privacy requirements of the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and applicable laws such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Important: The App is not intended for use by anyone under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you may not download or use the App, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The App is designed to collect only the information necessary to provide you with up‑to‑date Forward Festival content and event features.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, payment information, or any sensitive personal data.

We use the information described above solely to:

  1. Provide core functionality, such as displaying event schedules, letting you RSVP to sessions, and delivering push notifications.
  2. Communicate essential Festival updates, reminders, or safety information.
  3. Allow event organizers to communicate via email with individuals who have expressed interest in their event.
  4. Maintain and improve the App’s reliability, security, and user experience.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

3. No Third‑Party Sharing or Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties other than with the organizers of events you have registered to attend and with SCHED, the maker and operator of the App. Data is processed only by Forward Events staff and by SCHED.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. After the annual Festival concludes, we generally delete or anonymize RSVP data and usage logs within 90 days, unless you maintain an active account for future events.

We employ industry‑standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No Internet or mobile transmission is 100% secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information may contact us at the address below.

The Forward Festival App is powered by SCHED. As a result, both this Forward Festival Privacy Policy and the SCHED Privacy Policy apply to your use of the App. SCHED explains how its platform processes data on behalf of event organizers (like us) and end users (like you).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Policy within the App and updating the “Effective Date” at the top. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
