Session #01: Cook it Forward - An Innovative Approach to Addressing Food Insecurity — Get introduced to Cook it Forward, end-to-end system that addresses food insecurity, without shirking the last-mile. Cook it Forward (CiF) is a COVID-19 response pivot collaboration. The collaboration involves local farms, 20 downtown Madison restaurants, food distribution sites, and black-and-brown led local nonprofits providing last-mile delivery services. It targets the food insecure, who also has accessibility and mobility issues that prevent them from getting food at centralized service centers. Learn more about how restaurateurs, local nonprofits, and others came together to create a service focused on serving Madison's most vulnerable, but adhere to its economic equity principles. Session #02: The Power of Partnerships: Just Bakery and Short Stack Eatery — Carmella Glenn and Alex Lindenmeyer met at the 2017 Social Good Summit after Carmella had introduced Just Bakery to Madison and the world.
