About

None of us know what we don’t know. How then, can we uncover important insights that may be critical to our entrepreneurial journey, yet completely obscured from our view? Empathetic interviewing is a practice at the heart of all human-centered design and business. In recent reports, the top performing quartile of businesses say that they incorporate design among their core practices. In this 1 hour deep-dive workshop you’ll learn about empathy, practice ways to create trusting space and honor silences that can give rise to entrepreneurial insight rooted in people’s needs and desires. This workshop is also a taste of UW-Madison’s Master of Science in Design + Innovation (MD+I): a collaborative, interdisciplinary program that teaches you the skills to solve complex, real-world problems using creativity.
